34-35 week busy-ness!

Week 34 to 35 have been pretty hectic. Flying home on Thursday from Reno after spending the off day with Jess on Wednesday left me jet lagged and swollen once Friday came around.

Being 2 hours behind central time is a serious amount of time even though it seems like it shouldn't be. Regardless, I had to put my big girl pants on and get going. I had a wedding to be in, "My Best Friend's Wedding", that is!

The day of the Rehearsal we started out with a Ladies Cocktail Hour in honor of the Bride! Baby T has been on a sweets kick so I loved the cookies that were prepared. I could have eaten 1,000 of them!

Once we were done with cocktail hour, we headed over to Mary's parents house. (That is where the Wedding was held). We went over the usual wedding plans and took in the views of the backyard where the Wedding was going to be held. Her parents had 2 huge tents set up for the occasion and I kick myself now for not taking any pictures! It was absolutely breathtaking!

After the rehearsal we headed to the Groom's parents house where a dinner was served. The Bride and Groom love Cajun food so raw oysters, shrimp and crawfish etouffee were on the menu. I saved up my 12 ounces of seafood for that day since I knew those were going to be a part of it.

To conclude the night they had a fireworks show and we shared stories of Mary and Rhett. All in all it was a perfect day and night and their parents couldn't have taken better care of us!

Saturday morning came early and before I knew it I was getting my make-up done. The day of a Wedding is so hectic that you do not even notice the time that goes by.

She was so stunning!

We sent them off with Sparklers at the end of the night and then I headed to my sister's new garden tub. I had to soak my feet and wash the 10 pounds of hair spray out of my hair. Baby T was relieved to sleep in on Sunday after all that go, go, going.

Be on the look out for a 35 week update! I just wanted to change things up a bit and not just do the usual weekly stats.

Happy Tuesday!

Love,
E

33 Weeks, Donuts and Maternity Photos!

This week has been one exciting, busy one! As most of you know it is Jess' Birthday week! (I just had to rub that in, he hates "Birthdays") So of course I have reminded him everyday that "It's his BIRTHDAY WEEK!!!" He could careless about my enthusiasm, but I just love Birthdays!

Yesterday morning we had a sonogram so we decided to get donuts before in hopes that it would make Baby T excited and start moving around in there.

Jess chose a regular glazed, chocolate glazed and a blueberry filled donut. I chose a blueberry cake donut and chocolate with sprinkles. I love sprinkles so that is what sells me on getting one every time!

The donuts didn't work as Baby T kept his hands in front of his face for the whole 20 minute sonogram. He must have been sleeping pretty hard not to wake up for those decadent goodies I ate. We did get a good report on him though and found out he is 4 pds 12 oz! He is a big boy! The doctor said he is measuring a few days early so we could be looking at May 31st instead of June 2nd! We are so so excited!

32 Weeks

Coming up on the 32nd week of pregnancy we had a little scare. Last Wednesday I started to have cramping in my lower abdomen that ended up making my legs cramp well into the weekend. That Sunday I didn't even feel well enough to go to the game. I decided to call my nurse in Texas the next morning because both Jess and I thought that something might be wrong.

After speaking with my nurse she told me to go to an OB here in Reno. I had already made an appointment with one so I just called and asked if it could be moved up since I was having some problems. Praise God they were able to see me that day (which was Monday).

Some tests were ran and everything ended up being ok (praise God again!). Scared me and Jess to death though. I think my anxiety is at an all time high these days now that the end is on the horizon AND I am so far from home.

Mom, Dad and Baby T ;) (32 weeks, 1 day)

Baby T is definitely getting bigger!

Season is well on it's way! Before we know it I will have my little sidekick sitting in the stands with me cheering daddy on! I wish the time could slow down and speed up all at the same time. I am embracing each day with this little one in my tummy. I will miss feeling him but can't wait until he is here for us to hold and love on! No one ever mentions how bittersweet the last weeks of pregnancy are.

I hope y'all had a fabulous week!

Hello Reno!

After driving 13 hours between Saturday and Sunday we have arrived in Reno! Praise God for safe travel through the scariest part of the United States (my opinion). I honestly almost died when I realized that it would be freezing here during the month of April. Jess mentioned that it would be chilly, not freezing! It snowed today for goodness sake! Thank goodness my mother in law was kind enough to mail me my coat. With Spring being sprung, coats are long gone in stores so she was such a blessing by doing that for me.

Our journey from Scottsdale to Reno was a fun one though! We got to see the Hoover Dam and then we stopped in Vegas for a mini babymoon before baby T makes his debut.

The wind was unbelievable up there!

Bellagio Light Show! As many times as we have been to Vegas, this was the first time we ever watched it!

We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the road trip up! Baby T has now had 3 homes and been to 2 states. He is already a traveler and doesn't even know it yet!

Our first Monday in Reno marked 31 weeks for me! I feel like there is so much to do and there really is so I am just going to pretend there isn't and relax. I am going to enjoy these last weeks with my sweet pea in my belly. I am so ready for him to be here but will miss the feeling of him in my stomach so much.
